Sugardew Island Switch 2 - Help for Crashes and Freezes

Some players on Nintendo Switch 2 have reported crashes or freezes either during the loading screen or after a few seconds/minutes of gameplay. This issue has been fixed in the latest update.

Normally, the Nintendo Switch 2 installs updates automatically when you launch the game. In some cases, however, the update must be triggered manually.

1. Required Version

Please make sure your game is updated to:

Version: 1.0.7

This version resolves the known crash and freeze issues.

In most cases, the console will automatically download and install the update when the game is launched.

3. How to Manually Update the Game on Nintendo Switch 2

1. On the Home screen, highlight “Sugardew Island”
   (do not start the game).

2. Press the ( + ) Button on the right Joy-Con or controller.

3. Select “Software Update”.

4. Choose “Via the Internet”.

5. The console will search for updates and download Version 1.0.7 if it is not installed yet.

6. Once updated, start the game again.
