Birds, with their phenomenal nest-building skills in real life, popped up as an intriguing premise. This set the ball rolling for us and became the foundation for SDM's world where birds evolved to craft elaborate dungeons to safeguard their cherished eggs.
Chickens, in particular, rose to the occasion. Despite not being recognized for building the most advanced or innovative nests, they dedicated themselves to the craft of dungeon building. Their objective was clear - to create the most challenging dungeons to shield their eggs. This versatility allows chickens to construct various dungeons across diverse settings!
Moreover, there's an ongoing belief that their ancestors used to erect dungeons for other malicious overlords as trials for heroes to overcome. And no, this is certainly not a homage to Cuckoos. 😉
